Thanks to Frank Oulton I think, this image hung on the door to my office for many months during the early days of the pandemic… and then it came to me, this Sunday is Halloween – what better time for folk to come to Church dressed as they dressed during the early days of the pandemic while taking part in Church from the comfort of their home!
Let’s have some fun! Wear your housecoat, fuzzy slipper or favourite pyjamas… or if, as did La Verne Ford Wimberly, you dressed up before you sat to take part in online worship, come dressed up!
Come as yourself. Come as you are. Be present, in person or via Facebook Live and be reminded of the greatest commandments: “The first is, ‘Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one; you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’12:31 The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
See you on Sunday at 11AM. There’ll be treats! No tricks but lots of treats… and love!!
