Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sackville, New Brunswick December 23rd, 2020

Greetings,

On behalf of the congregations of Upper Sackville United Church and Sackville United Church and the many volunteers who exercise ministry among us and with us, Jennie and I and our families wish to extend to you the warmest of greetings for the Christmas season and a healthy and happy New Year!

This will be a Christmas different than any other – for all of us. May you treasure the connections you are able to make with loved ones in new and creative ways, and may you come to appreciate moments of peace and quiet as you ponder the gift of Love come among us.

You may take part in the 3PM Christmas Eve gathering for children and families by via Facebook Live or by Zoom.

The pre-recorded Christmas Eve service will be available here, and at the bottom of this post, after 5PM on Christmas Eve. And, of course, if you have pre-registered, you are welcome to join in the in-person Christmas Eve gathering at Upper Sackville United Church at 7PM.

Jennie and I will be off on December 27th – there is however be a service of lessons and carols posted here that you may engage with at your leisure. The bulk of this service was created by the staff of Regions East of the United Church of Canada, to which Jennie and I have added our own contributions (music by Jennie and video editing by me).

We look forward to gathering with you again on Sunday January 3rd. Provided we remain in the Yellow level of recovery, we will gather in-person at Upper Sackville United at 9am and at Sackville United at 11am. The 11am gathering will also be broadcast on Facebook Live. Join us, as we move from the season of Christmas into the season of Epiphany, as the light strengthens and the days become longer.

Again, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year,

Lloyd
