Andrea Beverly shared these with a couple of people and they enjoyed them so much that it was suggest that they be shared on the website. So, here you go.
The first is a from America: The Jesuit Review, written by Brian Doyle in which he reflects on the place of children in the Sunday gathering: Suffering Children: Do not despise these little ones.
The second is from Los Angles Review of Books and is an essay by Dorothy Fortenberry entitled Half-Full of Grace. May the last paragraph stay with you and lead you to join in community this Sunday:
Church isn’t an escape from the world. It’s a continuation of it. My family and I don’t go to church to deny the existence of the darkness. We to go to look so hard at the light that our eyes water.
Blessings and Peace,
Lloyd
