Blue Christmas Service

Blue Christmas or Longest Night Worship

Grief and loss follow no timetable. They aren’t always ready to be set aside at Christmas. Nor should they be, for the One who comes at Christmas is also the One who “keeps count of our tossing and gathers our tears.

Sometimes we need a different way to come to Christmas.

This year I invite those of you who are weighted by the loss of some kind, still carrying a space that seems hollow, still wanting to hold your memories in a particular way, to join with us as we mark Christmas in a different way. On December 13th at 4:00 pm at Sackville United Church.

We welcome you to a gentle, quiet worship, followed by refreshments if you care to stay.

Rev. Catherine Smith
