A group of individuals from the greater Sackville community and Mount Allison University are organizing an event in response to Naomi Klein’s book, This Changes Everything, and her presentation at Mount Allison University earlier this winter. Members of groups from the environmental, agricultural, construction, forestry, ecological, cultural, educational, indigenous, business, and heritage parts of our community are invited to make short presentations about their projects that contribute to sustainability and climate action. Member of the public from across Tantramar are invited to learn about the tangible actions that are taking place in our region to address climate change and what we, as community members, can do to help. The workshop will help move the Tantramar region towards a future that is good for humanity and the planet.
Everyone is welcome to attend this free event on April 2nd, 2016 at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre (182 Main Street, Sackville) from 1-5 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
