In case of any changes to regular office hours due to illness or other circumstances, a notice will be posted on the church FB page and, when possible, on the front doors as well.

Open Sky Summer Coffee Hour: The time and date have moved, but the company is still top notch! This summer, join us at our new time/date/location on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-10:30am at Open Sky Co-operative for coffee, snacks, conversation and activities! Anyone needing transportation to Open Sky is invited to meet at Sackville United at 9:15am on Tuesdays.

Sunday Seekers Book Circle FALL 2022 - sign up now!: Katharine Hayhoe is a Canadian climate scientist now teaching in Texas. She is also an Evangelical Christian and furthermore she is one of the best science-communicators we have. Saving Us is an excellent in-depth primer on climate change in general, understandable to a non-specialist audience even when putting over the complexities of the situation. Such complexities are not just limited to the science but extend to politics and behavioural psychology. She blends her scientific training and her Christian beliefs in an accessible way. This is a timely book for our Creation Time (September 11-October 9.) The cost of the book is $25.00.

The Seekers meet on Sunday mornings (time to be determined to allow choir members to get to the church for pre-worship practice!) We will continue to meet on Zoom, likely at 9:15.

If interested in joining in on the discussion please contact Catherine Gaw at chgaw@eastlink.ca by August 7 -to facilitate the book ordering!

(from the UCC)

Margaret Tusz-King served as a representative of the United Church on the Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) Board of Directors for nine years, reaching the maximum term on the Board. We celebrate Margaret Tusz-King’s contribution as a United Church representative to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank Board of Directors and wish her well in the future! Rev. Michael Blair, General Secretary of The United Church of Canada, adds, “I am grateful for Margaret's commitment to the work of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, holding strongly to the values of partnership and justice for those marginalized by systems of oppression. Margaret served on the Executive of the Board and courageously challenged the Executive and the Board to engage in significant courageous conversations around gender, climate, and economic justice. Blessings on her new journey.”

We celebrate Margaret's passion and dedication to justice and service - thank you for all that you do!
