PANCAKES AND PRAYERS TO GO: Next Sunday, August 6, we will gather outside the church (weather permitting) to share pancakes and prayers together, and to offer hospitality to our Sappyfest visitors. We will also enjoy some “techno hymns” performed by Zack Bruce.
ART DISPLAY AT SUC: Next weekend we welcome an art display of textiles in our sanctuary as part of the Sappyfest Festival. We are excited to host this exhibit brought in by Strutts Gallery. Come on in and check it out over the weekend!
THE GO PROJECT AT SUC: SUC is hosting an exciting adventure day camp this August 7-11 for children grades 2-7. Visit the webpage or contact the office for more information! We are looking for a number of adult and youth volunteers.
DON’T WORRY, BE HAPPY: Friday afternoons 2-4pm during the summer, we explore together what Happiness really means. More information on the Open Sky Facebook Page.

BEER AND HYMNS: We had another fabulous night of Beer and Hymns this past Sunday. Please send your hymn requests for next time to the church office. Ducky’s Pub from 7-8pm on Sunday evenings: August 13 & 27. Come out and raise your voices (and glasses!).
PRAYER REQUESTS: for yourself or a person or situation concerning you may be given to our Prayer Circle by calling Mora at 536-4109, or email morabullydog@yahoo.ca. Details surrounding a request may be provided but are not necessary. All requests are received with respect and kept in confidence.
LOOKING AHEAD: On October 8, Margaret Tusz-King will be leading a service on a theme of food, hunger, and the work of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. She is looking for volunteers interested in planning and/or participating in the service.

SPC Summer Music Series
This summer, we’re doing something new and exciting at SPC! Each Sunday morning worship this summer will feature a specific musical theme/genre, with a mix of popular hymns and familiar favourites we don’t always get to sing in church!
