ANNOUNCEMENTS for November 26, 2017- 25th Sunday after Pentecost

FOOD BANK SUNDAY:  This Sunday, November 26 is Food Bank Sunday for the month.  We are invited to bring our offerings of non-perishable food items or consider a monetary contribution to the food bank to help meet the immediate needs of our neighbours and friends, even as we continue to address the underlying injustices that lead to long-term food insecurity.

SUPPORT ROHINGYA REFUGEES: The Canadian Foodgrains Bank writes: “600,000 children, women and men have abandoned their homes and all their belongings, seeking safety in Bangladesh.” Please visit the Foodgrains Bank website at https://foodgrainsbank.ca/campaigns/rohingya-appeal/  or mark your contribution on your offering envelope as “Rohingya Refugees”.

CHRISTMAS CHEER 2017: The Christmas Cheer program, which provides Christmas help to Sackville families, is once again accepting monetary donations (care of RBC), as well as donations of new toys, books and clothing for children aged 12 and under.  Donations of secondhand clothing for adults and children, and of secondhand bedding would also be welcomed.  Donations may be dropped off at Sackville United during regular office hours (Wed.-Fri. 9 a.m. to noon).  Toy bags will be packed at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Dec. 14th at 9 a.m., with a storm date of Dec. 15th.  New volunteers are always welcome.  For further information, please speak to Beth Briscoe or to Jane Geier.

2018 CHURCH CALENDARS ARE HERE!:  Church calendars have arrived!  Please visit the church office to pick up and/or pay for your calendar.  We have a number of extra calendars for those who have not pre-ordered one but who would like to have one at this time.

DECORATING THE SANCTUARY:  this coming Saturday, Dec 2 at 4pm come and join us in preparing the sanctuary for Advent – it shouldn’t take very long (20-30 minutes) and a good time can be had by all ages!

BEER AND HYMNS: Come and join us TONIGHT, November 26, and next month for “Christmas Carols and Cocktails” on December 17!

GETTING IN TOUCH WITH REV.  LLOYD: Looking to get in touch with Lloyd?  He can be reached at spcminister@nb.aibn.com or by calling (506) 940-1151.

PLACE YOUR JUSTUS! CHOCOLATE/COFFEE CHRISTMAS ORDERS:  The Pastoral Charge office is a vendor for JustUs! Fair Trade coffee and chocolate products.  We will be placing an order in the first week of December and are happy to include any special orders for the Christmas season.  Please email the church office or speak to Jennie, or feel free to browse the JustUs!
